Timothy David George

Timothy David George, 63, of Evans City, Pa., passed away Tuesday, April 29,
2014, at his home.

He was born April 7, 1951, in Kittanning, Pa. the only son of the late David W.
and Barbara Ann (Williams) George.

Tim graduated in 1969 from Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.

He was retired from BNZ Materials, Inc. in Zelienople, Pa. where he had been a
quality control inspector for more than 20 years. He had also served as a union
representative most of those years for both the Aluminum, Brick and Glass
Workers Union and the Steelworkers Union.

Tim had been an avid sportsman and played softball for several teams in Butler
and Armstrong counties (Pa.) as well as belonging to golf and bowling leagues
until a spinal cord injury interfered with his ability to play.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Terry L. (Brewster), and their daughter,
Traci Lynn George, 16, still at home. Also surviving are his two daughters from
a previous marriage, Mrs. Stephanie E. (Preston C.) Brida of Blairsville, Pa.,
and Mrs. Danielle (Douglas A.) Pickerd, of Indiana Pa.; his two grandsons,
Preston Brida and Luke Pickerd; his granddaughter, Morgan Ruppersberger; as well
as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public viewing for Timothy David
George, who passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014.

A memorial service will be announced later by the Young Funeral Home, Butler,
Pa., after his family has had time to come to terms with his unexpected loss.
