Homer Lee Hawley

Homer Lee Hawley, 75, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the
Specialty Care Hospital, Camp Hill. 

Homer was born in Kittanning on July 7, 1946, son of the late Thomas and Wilma
Claypoole Hawley.

He was the husband of Susan Emma Wright Hawley whom he married on August 16,
1969. 

He was a 1964 graduate of Worthington West Franklin High School and attended
Penn State for 2 years. 

Homer was a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper. 

He attended Ono United Methodist Church, was a member of Lodge #61 FOP; the
Retired State Troopers Association, and enjoyed golf, travel and time with his
granddaughter. Homer had served as chairman of DuFast Transit Authority and been
a coach of Youth Soccer and Basketball and a Cub Master.

In addition to his wife Sue, Homer is survived by his son, Mark, husband of
Phatchareeya Hawley of Medford, Maine; his daughter, Janine Hawley of
Greensboro, NC; granddaughter, Marissa Hawley; his sisters, Wilma, wife of Dale
Barnhart of Worthington and Barbara, wife of Samuel Claypoole of Worthington. 

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas, Harlon, and John Hawley.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Homer’s memorial service
on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 11:30 AM from the Chapel of the PA State Police
Museum Chapel, 187 E. Hershey Park Dr., Hershey, PA 17033. Friends will be
received Monday beginning at 10:30 AM to the time of service at the chapel. 

Please omit flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the PA State Police
Museum.
