Robert Kenneth Fox
Robert Kennth Fox, 75 of Butler, PA (formerly of Worthington, PA) passed away
after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
Bob was born at home, on his parents’ Kenneth and Mary (Baldauf) Fox, farm in
Worthington, PA on November 3, 1945.
He was a 1963 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
PA.
Bob was employed by Pullman Standard until the company closed, and then went on
to work at Dlublak Glass Company for several years. He retired from U.S. Liner
Company in 2011.
Bob liked to spend his free time with his family. Together, they spent several
years building a log house in Worthington. Prior to his father’s death, Bob
enjoyed playing the fiddle and guitar with his dad. When he wasn’t with his
family, he could be found on the golf course and looked forward to his summer
golf league every year.
Bob is survived by one son, John (Connie) Fox of Worthington and one daughter
Shari (James) Brewer of Chicora, four grandchildren, Kayla (Matthew)
Occhiogrosso, Joshua (Trista) Fox, James (Chelsea) Brewer, and Kaitlyn (Jake)
Martin, three step-grandchildren, Thomas (Shawnee) Stennett, Shawn (Julie)
Stennett and Susan Brewer, five great-grandchildren, and five step-great
grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Henry (Mary) Fox, Owen
(Bersetta) Fox, Merle Fox, John (Rowena) Fox, two sisters, Mary (Thomas) Green
and Louise (William) Nulph, his companion, Karen Sintz, and many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife Janet (Beck)
Fox, whom he married in May of 1964, one step-great-grandchild Zachary Stennett
and one infant brother Kenneth Fox.
Friends will be received on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to
9:00 pm at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington. A funeral service
will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the funeral home with additional visitation
from 10:00 am until the time of the service with Pastor Dave Smith officiating.
Interment will be at the Worthington Lutheran Cemetery in Worthington, PA. |
