Mrs. Gloria (Dougherty) Turney, 23, of 333 Cedar Lane, Rancocas Woods, Mt.
Holly, N.J., died at 1:20 p.m. May 15, 1963, in Rancocas Valley Hospital,
Levittown, N.J.
Mrs. Turney, the former Gloria Geraldine (Gerri) Dougherty, was born Feb. 19,
1940 in Worthington, a daughter of Harold S. and Phyllis (Pence) Dougherty. She
was a member of Worthington United Presbyterian Church and a 1958 graduate of
Worthington-West Franklin High School.
Surviving are her husband, James A. Turney, three sons, Michael Eric, Jeffrey
James, and Daniel Alan, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold S.
Dougherty of Worthington; two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Barbara Ann) Mauthe Jr. of
Bridgeton, N.J., and Nancy Dougherty at home; a brother, Walter, at home; and
her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond H. Pence of Worthington.
Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Saturday at the
Flick (Walker) funeral home, Worthington.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in charge of her
pastor, Rev. R. Paul Beatty. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
