Elliott Duane King

Dr. Elliott Duane King, 81, of Sebring, FL, went to be with his Lord and Savior
on April 27, 2017.  

He was born on May 19, 1935, in Indiana, PA, to the late Orlando "Jack" and Ruth
(Holby) King.  

He lived in McIntyre, PA for 15 years until he moved to Worthington, PA and
graduated from the Worthington West Franklin High School in 1953.  

He received his Bachelor of Theology from Baptist Bible Seminary in Johnson
City, N.Y., Master of Divinity from Baptist Bible School of Theology in Clarks
Summit, PA, Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary in Jacksonville, FL.  

He was a member of East Side Baptist Church, Crawfordsville, IN before moving to
Florida in February, 2017. 

He served as a Baptist minister of the Gospel for over 40 years with pastorates
in Hermon, New York, Flint, MI, Frostburg, MD, Upper Marlboro, MD and Bremen,
IN, retiring in 1998.  Following retirement, he served as field representative
of COME, an Independent Baptist Mission Agency and also was a Professor of
Theology at Indiana Baptist Seminary, located in Greenwood, IN, for several
years until his health did not permit it any longer.  
 
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ethel, son Fredd (Dee), Vero Beach, FL,
three grandchildren, Mindi (Sam) Cogdill, Darlington, IN, Joey King, Rockville,
IN, Daniel King, Crawfordsville, IN and Aunt Cathy Holby, Beaver Falls, PA.

A memorial service was conducted at Maranatha Baptist Church, Sebring, FL and
burial will be at a later date in Crawfordsville, IN.
