Glenn Shafer Weaver

Glenn Shafer Weaver, 64, of Myrtle Trace, Conway, S.C., formerly of Worthington,
Pa. and Butler, Pa, died Friday, March 26, 1999 while visiting Albequerque, New
Mex.

He was born April 22, 1934 in Worthington to Randall H. and Nellie A. (Shafer)
Weaver.

He graduated with the class of 1952 from Worthington-West Franklin High School,
Worthington, Pa.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad,
the Penn Central Railroad and retired from Conrail in Philadelphia about seven
years ago, as the manager of coal sales.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and was a
director of the Associated Charities in Myrtle Beach.

Survivors include his mother of Worthington; one sister, Mrs. Ray (Loretta Jane)
Dougherty of Butler; three nephews, Michael, David and Sean Dougherty; and two
nieces, Jennifer Bayuzik and Beth Murphy.

He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Peggy "Bobby" Weaver, who died
Dec. 27, 1998; two brothers, Harry Allen Weaver on May 18, 1954 and Denny L.
Weaver and his wife, Charlotte E. Weaver on Oct. 2, 1964; and one nephew, Todd
Weaver Doughtery on Mar. 22, 1972.

A memorial service for Glenn S. Weaver, 64, of Myrtle Trace, Conway, S.C.,
formerly of Worthington, who died March 26, 1999, will be held at 2 p.m.
Saturday at the Hill Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., Butler, Pa. with Rev.
John Porter, officiating. An additional service will be held in Myrtle Beach
next week.

The family requests memorial contributions to the Associated Charities of Myrtle
Beach, 704 10th Ave., Myrtle Beach, S.C. 19577 or the First Presbyterian Church,
1300 Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach.
