Doris Jean Wolfe Garis Jones
Doris Jean Wolfe Garis Jones, 72, of East Butler died at 7 a.m. Sunday, December
22, 2002, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born November 4, 1930, in Worthington, she was the daughter of Bernell R. and
Beulah Mae (Anthony) Wolfe.
She was a 1948 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She had worked at Magnetics, Mine Safety and DuCo Ceramics.
Surviving are her husband, Paul D. Jones Jr., whom she married Aug. 8, 1979; a
daughter, Lorraine Swartzlander of Butler; a son, David Garis of Butler; a
brother, Donald Wolfe of Butler; three grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a stepdaughter, Mrs. Barry (Susan)
Davidson of Callery; two stepsons, Richard and John Jones, both of Callery; six
step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Paul Garis, who died
March 12, 1974; and a stepdaughter.
Friends of Doris J. Jones, who died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, will be received from
7 to 9:15 p.m. today at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson Street. Services
will follow at 9:15 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. John Neyman,
pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, officiating.
