Daniel Woods Gaiser-Sims
Daniel Woods Gaiser-Sims, a disabled Korean war veteran, passed away July 11,
1960, a victim of a homicide that occurred in Oklamoma on his return trip from
Long Beach, Ca. to Worthington, Pa.
He was born July 15, 1929, in Worthington, a son of William and Mollie I.
(Gaiser) Sims.
He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
He was employed as a coal truck driver for Merle Toy & Son, Worthington.
A U.S. Army Veteran, he served during the Korean War and was a purple heart
receipient.
He was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church and Kittanning Veterans of
Foreign Wars.
Surviving him are his brothers, Mark of Worthington and Harry of Craigsville, a
half-sister, Dorinda Ann of Philadelphia and two nieces and three nephews.
His parents predeceased him.
Friends will be received at Walker Funeral Hme, Friday, 6:00-10:00 p.m.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's RC Church in Coylesville with
the Rev. Charles P. Ryley officiating
Interment at St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery, Fenelton, PA.
