Glenn Walker Fails

Glenn Walker Fails, 70, of Whitney Avenue, Niagara Falls, N.Y., died Saturday,
January 1, 2000, at the Niagara Falls Medical Center after a six-month illness.

He was born February 23, 1929 in Worthington to David Walker and Genella "Viola"
(Claypoole) Fails.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

Mr. Fails owned and operated his own business, G.W. Fails Janitorial and
Maintenance Service and was also employed as a chemical operator at the former
Hooker Chemical Company until his retirement in 1991 after more than 40 years of
service.

He was a charter member and past president of the Niagara Frontier Coin Club,
and was also involved in organizing stamp and coin shows held in the area. His
other memberships included the Niagara Falls Elks Lodge and the Occidental
Retirement Club.

He was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy F. (Grey) Fails whom he married on Dec. 16,
1949; a daughter Patricia L. Felker of Niagara Falls, two grandchildren, Eric
and Kristen Felker, both of Niagara Falls; a sister, Jean Vivian Turney of
Worthington; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Avanelle Irene Bowser.

Friends of Glenn Walker Fails, 70, of Whitney Avenue, Niagara Falls, N.Y., who
died Jan. 1, 2000, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the
Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls, N.Y. where funeral services
will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Autry Burling of Calvary Baptist
Church, officiating. 

Interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.

Memorial gifts may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 624 Hyde Park Blvd.,
Niagara Falls, NY.
