Chalmer D. Peat, 78, of East Franklin Township, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at
his residence.He was born Dec. 24, 1927 in Worthington to Oran and Faye
(Gutherie) Peat. Mr. Peat was retired from the Bauer Block Co. He previously
worked at Logan Clay Products. He was an Army-Air force veteran of World War II.
He was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed gardening and hunting. Survivors
include his wife Patricia (Butler) Peat; two sons, Ronald O. Peat of Warren, and
Allan D. Peat of Saxonburg; a granddaughter, Sherry Flick of Kittanning; two
grandsons, Michale and Christopher Peat; a great granddaughter, Hannah Grace
Flick; a great grandson, Alex Peat; a brother, Thomas Peat of Worthington; and
two sisters, Jean Leach of Fenelton and Janet Hooks of North Carolina.He was
preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers, Richard, Harlan, Edwin,
Robert, and James Peat.Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at
the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington. A funeral service
will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Earl
Watterson officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
