Patricia Lee Walker Joyce

Patricia Lee Walker Joyce, 88, wife of the late Richard H. Joyce, Jr. and a
resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Riverside Shore
Rehabilitation Center, in Parksley, VA.

Born June 20, 1928 in Worthington, PA, she was a daughter of the late Frank H.
and Ruth (Kepple) Walker.

She was a 1946 graduate of Worthngton-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. She also began her teaching career at Worthington Elementary School.

Mrs. Joyce attainted her degree in education from Slippery Rock State College,
and later retired from Davis Elementary, in Southampton, PA, after thirty-nine
years. 

She was a member of the MorningStar Moravian Church in Coopersburg, PA, a
devoted volunteer at the Elephant's Trunk, and for several years, served as a
docent at Pennsburg Manor. 

Mrs. Joyce was a loyal Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Orioles fan, and an
avid knitter and sailor, and loved the beach.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Patricia Joyce Brabazon and husband
Paul of Melfa; two sisters, Paula Feger and husband Gene of Houston, TX, and
Nancy Graff and husband Peter of Kittanning, PA; two grandsons, Jared Brabazon
and wife Janelle of Breinigsville, PA, and Christopher Brabazon of Pasadena, MD;
and one great-granddaughter, Dagney; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was a predeceased by a sister, Jean
Flick.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Patricia Joyce will be held at a
later date.

Interment in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
