Hugh Hartley Fair

Hugh Hartley Fair, 85, of Worthington, Pa., entered into the presence of the
Lord Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
 
He was born January 17, 1928, in West Kittanning, to the late Harold Stewart
Fair and Marie Isabelle (Campbell) Fair.

He was 1946 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
 
Hugh retired in 1993 from operating engineers Local No. 66 where he was a heavy
equipment mechanic and operator. 

He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II in the South
Pacific. 

He was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Kittanning. 

Hugh's hobbies included hunting, fishing and building and flying radio
controlled airplanes. Hugh graduated from Worthington-West Franklin High School
in 1946.
 
Hugh's love of his Savior shined through everyday of his life, in that there was
nothing that brought him greater joy than helping his family and friends.
 
Survivors include his son, Roger Hugh (Sandra Lee) Fair, of Laveen, Ariz.; his
daughter, Colleen Ross (Paul S.) Keenan, of Rural Valley, Pa.; his
daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann (Yates) Fair, of Yatesboro, Pa.; his grandsons,
Roger "Eric" (Jennifer) Fair, of Arizona, Sean Thomas (Anna) Fair, of Virginia,
Philip Mahlon Geer, of Rural Valley, Brandon Charles Fair, of Yatesboro; his
granddaughter, Stephanie Lyn Fair, of Yatesboro; his great-grandchildren, Dustin
Joel Fair and Tayla Hope Fair, of Homer City, Pa., and Emma and Lily Fair, of
Arizona; his brother, Forest Cowl (JoAn S.) Fair, of Kittanning; and his sister,
Ruth Harlene (Lowell B.) Reed, of Cowansville, Pa.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 57 years, Eyvette
Rose (Shearer) Fair, who passed away May 1, 2007; his son, Michael Harold Fair,
who passed away January 28, 2013; his infant grandson, Russell Wayne Fair,
January 14, 1972; and his sister, Marie Louise Crissman, June 6, 2009.
 
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at
the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Worthington. Additional visitation will be
held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Services will be held
at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the Grace Baptist Church, 527 Butler Road,
Kittanning. Pastor Daniel L. Kaminski, his church pastor, will officiate.
 
Burial will be in the Slate Lick Cemetery, Kittanning, Pa.
