Avanelle Irene Fails Bowser
Avanelle Irene (Fails) Bowser, 65, of RD 1, Worthington, Pa. died Monday, June
21, 1993 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township,
Kittanning, Pa.
She was born June 25, 1927 in Worthington to Walker D. and Genella "Viola"
(Claypoole) Fails.
She was a 1946 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
She was retired from Armstrong County School district where she had been a
cafeteria worker. She was a member of Worthington Baptist Church where she was a
church clerk, choir member and Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Melvin Bowser; two sons, Jeffrey S. Bowser
and Vaughn Alan Bowser, both of Worthington; one daughter, Valerie Hope Brocious
of Worthington; and five grandchildren; one sister, Jean Vivian Turney of
Worthington; and one brother, Glenn Walker Fails of Niagara Falls, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends of Avanelle Irene (Fails) Bowser, 65, of RD 1, Worthington, who died
Monday, June 21, 1993, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington. There will also be visitation from
1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Baptist Church where funeral services will
be conducted at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Walter Pifer officiating.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
