Karl D. Minteer Sr.
Worthington
Karl D. Minteer Sr., 84, of Worthington, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at his
residence. He was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Worthington, the son of the late Warren
and Ada (Dunkle) Minteer and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a
retired carpenter, having worked for Allegheny Ludlum, and a veteran of World
War II, having served in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of Worthington
Presbyterian Church and Apollo Lodge F & AM. He enjoyed traveling, camping and
spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Lydia P
Minteer; sons, Karl Dean Minteer and his wife, Mary, of Worthington, Jerry
Minteer and his wife, Sarah, of Worthington, Joseph William Minteer and his
wife, Kathy, of Worthington, Daniel Minteer and his wife, Helen, of California,
and David James Minteer, of Florida; 12 grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters, Esther McGrady, of
Kittanning, and Anna Kruggel, of Arizona. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by his first wife, Isabel M. Minteer; two brothers, John and
Arthur Minteer; and two sisters, Ruth Green and Dorothy McWilliams. Friends will
be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Friday in F. DUANE
SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at
Worthington Presbyterian Church, with one hour of additional viewing prior to
the service. The Rev. John Speck will officiate. Interment will be in Butler
