Wilbert Blair Kutsch

Wilbert Blair "Babe" Kutsch, 83, of 81 Main St., Freeport, passed away at 7:51
p.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.


He was born December 27, 1921 in Ford City to Robert and Nora (Corbett) Kutsch.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. 

Mr. Kutsch worked as a miner for Freeport Brick Company in Freeport for 42 years
before retiring in 1980. 

He was a social member of the V.F.W., Freeport and a life member of the Freeport
Eagles Club. 

He also enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Pirates and Giants. 

He hauled scrap metal and other recyclables for people in the Freeport area for
many years. 

Survivors include one son, James B. Kutsch and wife Joyanne of Freeport; two
granddaughters, Jamie L. and Kelly A. Kutsch of Freeport; one brother, Robert
"Red" Kutsch Jr. of Kittanning; and three sisters, Roberta E. Uptegraph of
Kittanning, Lois Adams of Somerset and Mildred Davis of Salem, Ohio. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Florence E. (Toy) Kutsch in
1996; three brothers, Vernon Kutsch, Edward Kutsch and Jay Young; and two
sisters, Lillian Foreman and Dorothy Anthony. 

Friends will be received on from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Redmond
Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High St. Freeport where funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. John Kuert, of Evangel Heights Assembly of God,
officiating. 

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, South Buffalo Township, Pa.
