John A. Pavlik

John A. Pavlik, 79, of Worthington RD2 died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004 in Butler
Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 8, 1925 in West Franklin Township to John and Julia (Zvara)
Pavlik.
Mr. Pavlik worked for 25 years for Graff of Kittanning and 20 years for Armco
Steel in Butler.
An Army Air Corps veteran, he served during World War II.
He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Worthington.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Shirley (Sarver) Pavlik; one son, Craig
Pavlik and wife Cheryl of Worthington RD1; one daughter, Holly Strawcutter and
husband Lee of Worthington; five grandchildren, Jay Pavlik, Sommer Pavlik, Ryan
Strawcutter, Alissa Strawcutter and Kent Strawcutter; and one sister, Lydia
Minteer and husband Karl of Worthington RD2.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul Lichanec; and three
sisters, Julia Goepfert, Rose Adams and Margaret Konesky. Friends will be
received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral
Home, Bear Street, Worthington. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday
at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Worthington with his pastor, the Rev. Sue
Irons, officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery.
