Albert J. “Big Al” Patsy
Kittanning
Albert J. “Big Al” Patsy, 84, of Kittanning, died Saturday, June 13, 2009, in
ACMH Hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Ellwood City, a son of the late
Argo and Theresa (Bono) Patsy. He retired from Eljer Plumbingware in Ford City
after 40 years of service as a caster. He was a World War II Army corporal,
serving in England, France, Germany, Holland and Belgium. He was a member of St.
Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning, the Knights of
Columbus and a lifetime member of Kittanning Lodge No. 203 BPOE. He was a
graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School. He enjoyed bowling and
golfing, having scored four holes-in-one, and spending time with his family and
numerous friends. He is survived by his wife, Rose (Latini) Patsy, with whom he
celebrated 61 years of marriage on June 5, 2009; daughters, Ginny (Paul) Bowser,
of Worthington, and Theresa Rupp (Bill Rush), of Kittanning; granddaughter, Erin
(Zee) Rahim, of Virginia; grandson, Michael (Elizabeth) Rupp, of Homer City; two
great-grandsons, Landon and Spencer Rahim, of Virginia; an uncle, Rocco Bono;
aunts, Frances (Andy) Abranovich and Delores Bono; and a number of nieces and
nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother,
James Patsy. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning, where a
prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, followed by Mass of
Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic
Church, Kittanning, with Father Daniel Blout as celebrant. Interment will be in
Lawn Haven Burial Estates. Knights of Columbus will hold a service at 7 p.m.
