Mary Jane O'Donnell Cassidy
Mary Jane (O'Donnell) Cassidy, 62, former head nurse at Mercy Hospital and
rehabilitation coordinator for Kane Hospital, both of Pittsburgh, Pa., died
Wednesday, June 27, 1984, at her residence in West Mifflin, Pa., following an
extended illness.
She was born May 30, 1922, in Allegheny Co., the daughter of Francis Agustus.
and Nellie (Kerrigan) O'Donnell.
She graduated with the class of 1942 from Worthington-West Franklin High School,
Worthington, Pa.
Mrs. Cassidy had been on the staff at Los Olas General Hospital in Fort
Lauderdale, Fla., since 1972 until returning to West Mifflin on sick leave after
suffering from cancer.
Surviving are three sons, Paul F. Cassidy of New London, Conn., Timothy J.
Cassidy of West Mifflin and Paul Joseph Faulds of Zebulon, Ga.; a daughter,
Barbara Ann McCarthy of Pittsburgh; three brothers, Joseph Marcellus O'Donnell
of Monroeville, Pa., Francis Agustus O'Donnell Jr. of Pittsburgh, and James
Patrick O'Donnell of West Mifflin; 11 grandchildren.
Friends are being received from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 30 and 10 a.m to 10
p.m. Sunday, July 1, at Strifflers' of Dravosburg-West Miffllin, 740
Pittsburgh-McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, Pa.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 2, 1984, at
Holy Angels Church (in the neighborhood of Hays, Pa.), located at 408 Baldwin
Rd, Pittsburgh.
Burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Penn Hills, Pa.
The family suggests contributions to Forbes Hospice, Frankstown Avenue and
Washington Boulevard, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15206.
