Arthur Melvin Edgington

Arthur Melvin Edgington, 60, RD 1, Worthington, Pa., died Wednesday afternoon,
January 15, 1986 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township,
Kittanning, Pa.

He was born February 5, 1925, in Worthington, the son of James P. and Agnes
(Easley) Edgington.

He graduated with the class of 1942 from Worthington-West Franklin High School,
Worthington, Pa.

He was employed at the Eljer Plumbing Co., Ford City, Pa., and was a veteran of
World War II having served in the Army-Air Force. He was a member of the St.
Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Kittanning.

He is survived by his wife Grace J. (Giff) Edgington; one son, Thomas James
Edgington at home; two daughters, Mrs. Jonathan (Sandra Louise) Minteer of
Worthington and Mrs. Larry (Karen Sue) Eckman of Apollo, Pa.; three brothers,
James Thomas Edgington of Fairborn, Ohio, Francis James Edgington of Hobart,
Ind. and Paul Laverne Edgington of Huntington, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy
Alice Dunn of Florence, S.C. and Mrs. Geraldine "Ruth" Bundy of Worthington;
five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Friends of Arthur Melvin Edgington, 60, RD 1, Worthington, Pa., who died
Wednesday, January 15, 1986, will be received on Friday, January 17, from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, formerly the James A. Flick
Funeral Home, Worthington, where a wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday
and where funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 1986 at 10 a.m.
The Rev. Thomas Bertolinia, pastor of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church,
Kittanning and the Rev. Clyde Smith, pastor of the Shadyside Bible Church
(Buffalo Valley) RD., Worthington, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
