Pearle Gertrude Wilcox Gaiser Stitt

Pearle Gertrude "Tootie" Gaiser Stitt, 83, of East Franklin Township,
Kittanning, Pa., was guided back to the Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at
her residence.

Born October 23, 1923, in New Castle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late
William and Katherine (Kuhler) Trott.

She was a 1941 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

The late Hubert and Mary Wilcox lovingly raised young Tootie throughout her
adolescent years.

As a homemaker, she affectionately nurtured her four children to adulthood. A
member of the Grace Presbyterian Church, she spent some of her time later in
life working at the Cadet and Steakhouse restaurants in Kittanning.

Tootie expressed her love for animals as an active member of the Western
Pennsylvania Kennel Association, Kittanning Kennel Club and Miniature Schnauzer
Club of Pittsburgh. She also co-owned Winterwood Kennels, which was established
in 1968. This passion for animals led her to travel with her daughter to the
eastern part of the United States to dog shows. This work also led to providing
many families with loving pets through her high standards of Pekingese and
Miniature Schnauzer breeding.

She is survived by four children, Darlene L. (Kenneth R.) Moorhead, of
Kittanning, T. Patricia Leonard, of Sigel, Pa., Douglas L. (Susan I.) Gaiser, of
Kittanning, and Teri D. Emminger, of Kittanning and the father of her children,
C. Leroy Gaiser. Lovingly known as Mummum, she is survived by nine grandchildren
and 10 great-grandchildren. With a great compassion for animals, Tootie
especially loved her two schnauzers, Tara and Jada, which shared her last years
of life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Clinton
Stitt, in 1994; brother, Henry Trott, of California; and infant
great-granddaughter, Lainey D. Preston.

Visitation for Pearl “Tootie” Stitt will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday,
Feb. 16, 2007, at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, 253 N. Grant Ave.,
Kittanning. Additional visitation will be from 10 until time of funeral service
at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Arthur Seaman, of Grace
Presbyterian Church of Kittanning, officiating.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.

The family suggests memorial donations be made in her name to the Orphans of the
Storm Inc., 11878 State Route 85, Kittanning, PA 16201.
