Laura Jean Foster Roofner Cloak

Laura Jean (Foster) Roofner-Cloak, 86, of West Kittanning, where she resided
with her daughter, Linda, went home with her Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, April
7, 2009, surrounded by her family, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. 

She was born, October 1, 1922, on a farm in Worthington, a daughter of the late
Floyd Foster and Ethel (Armstrong) Foster.

She was a 1941 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

She was a member of Christ Community Chapel in Worthington. 

She enjoyed spending time with her family and extended family. She loved her
doggies, who kept her spirits up, camping at the mountains at Sigel, reading,
growing all sorts of roses, gardening, crossword puzzles, crocheting and
cooking. She also loved Elvis. 

She worked at the Armstrong County Courthouse in the prothonitary's office after
high school for years and at the Register Recorders Office. She then became a
homemaker. 

In 1980, she graduated from beautician school and worked in that profession for
four years. She also worked for Ford's Flowers and Moonlight Mushroom. She was a
beloved caregiver for her husbands through their battles with cancer. 

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Smith, of Kittanning; stepdaughter, Sandy
(Carl) Cypher, of Worthington; a stepson, Clarence Cloak, of Ormond Beach, Fla.;
grandsons, Ken (Beth) Cypher, Rick Lenard, Randy Meyers, Mitch Smith and Mike
Smith; brothers-in-law, Ed Bargerstock, of Worthington, and Ed Roofner, of
Spartanburg, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Bettie Roofner; a son-in-law, Fred Meyers,
of Okeechobee, Fla.; and nephew, John (Diane) Bargerstock, of Worthington, and
their children, Kate, Sam and Jacob, and Ed (Bari) Bargerstock, of Worthington,
and her son, Tyson. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband,
Charles Roofner; second husband, Clarence Cloak; an infant grandchildren;
sister, Virginia Bargerstock; a grandchild, Danny Meyers; and a brother-in-law,
Bill Baum. 

The family is honoring Jean's wishes that the viewing be private at the
SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning. The Rev. Paul Rihel, her pastor,
officiating. 

Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
