Donald Eugene Foringer

Donald Eugene Foringer, 81, of Freeport died Wednesday, November 17, 2004, in
St. Andrew Village, Indiana, Pa.

Born September 15, 1923 in West Monterey, Armstrong County, he was the son of
Samuel Henry and Nellie (Bell) Foringer.

He was a 1941 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

A veteran, he served in the Navy during World War II.

Mr. Foringer was a petroleum engineer at Gulf Research and Development, Harmar,
before retiring.

He was a member of Shrader Grove Presbyterian Church, South Buffalo, where he
served as an elder.

Mr. Foringer served on the Armstrong County School Board for 10 years, where he
was president for two terms, was a past president of the Freeport Area Joint
School Board and secretary of the South Buffalo Township School Board.

Survivors include a son, Donald E. (Nancy) Foringer of Edmond, Okla.; a
daughter, Debra Jean (Bill) Clark of Pottstown; and a sister, Geraldine Foringer
Williams of Florence, S.C. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Kristin and
Kate Foringer, and Ian, Kayla and Kaitlyn Clark.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean E. Foringer; his parents, Samuel and
Nellie Bell Durnell Foringer; and three brothers, Clarence, Henry and Robert
Foringer.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home, Bear Street, Worthington. Funeral services will be held at
1 p.m. Sunday at Srader Grove Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mike Wilson
officiating. 

Burial will be held in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
