James Thomas Edgington
James Thomas Edgington, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.
He was born October 6, 1921 and raised in Worthington, PA., a son of James P.
and Agnes E. (Easley) Edgington.
James was a resident of Fairborn, Ohio at the time of his passing.
He was a 1940 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
He joined the Army-Air Corps during World War II and served his country in the
Air Force for 30 years, retiring in 1970.
He is survived by his wife Amalia.Two sisters; Dorothy Dunn of Florence, SC, and
Ruth Bundy of Summerville, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James P. and Agnes Edgington; three
brothers; Francis, Arthur, Bernard and Paul.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011, from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M.
in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. A
funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at 10:00 A.M. in
Chapel 2, Bldg, 1220, 2267 Birch St., Wright-Patterson AFB, Chaplain, Lt. Col.
John S. Srode, USAF, Celebrant. (Prenotification needed for base access by 2 PM
Wed. 257-7738).
Interment with military honors will be at Arlington National Cemetery,
Arlington, Va., at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to The
Arthritis Foundation, or Hospice of Dayton, OH.
