Richard Harry Gaiser SR

Richard Harry Gaiser Sr., 79, of Fenelton died Monday, February 26, 2001, 
morning at his home. 

Born in Worthington, December 19, 1921, he was the son of Karl J. and Pearl Mae
(Tate) Gaiser.

He was a 1939 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
 
Mr. Gaiser owned and operated Gaiser's Truck Stop on Route 422 in Fenelton from
1962 until his retirement in 2000. 

He was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church of Coyleville, Clearfield
Township. 

He had been an active hunter and outdoor sportsman. He also had been a boating
enthusiast for years and enjoyed to water ski. 

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Georgia M. Fischer Gaiser, whom he married May 26,
1943; a son, Richard H. Gaiser Jr. of Fenelton; four daughters, Mrs. William
(Pearl) Katsko of Fenelton, Mrs. John (Beverly) Gettys of Georgia, and Patricia
Mahood and Janet Tack, both of Butler; 10 grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, James K. Gaiser of
Titusville, Fla., and a sister, Allyne Shaffer of Worthington. 

He was preceded in death by a grandson. 

Friends of Richard H. Gaiser Sr., who died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, will be
received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E.
Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 455 Clearfield Road, Fenelton. The
Rev. Louis Pascazi, church pastor, will officiate. 

Burial will be at the St. John Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Fenelton, Pa.
