Frank Possner Flick JR

Frank Possner Flick Jr., 76, of Chicora, died Wednesday, August 12, 1998, in the
emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in East Butler, December 7, 1921, he was the son of Frank P. Sr. and Grace
(Edwards) Flick.

Mr. Flick was a 1939 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School.

He was a life and fire insurance salesman and a representative for American
General Insurance Co. for 17 years before retiring in January, 1977.

He was a member of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church of Chicora and the Altar
Rosary Society of the church. He was a life member and past commander of Dexter
Leroy Donaldson VFW Post 7876 of Chicora and a member of Dierkin-Ritzert
American legion Post 682 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 962, both of
Chicora.

Surviving are Ida Louise Vensel, his companion of 21 years; a daughter, Mrs.
Richard (Judy) Callihan of Chicora; a son, Joe Flick of Brockway; a brother,
Robert Flick of Butler; five grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews,
grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Friends of Frank Possner Flick Jr., who died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1998, will be
received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Thomas M. Steighner Funeral Home,
Chicora. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at
Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church, Chicora, with the Rev. Bartley Sorensen,
church pastor, officiating. 

Members of the Chicora Moose Lodge will conduct memorial services 7:30 p.m.
Friday at the funeral home.

Military honors will be conducted by members of Chicora VFW and American
Legion.

Burial will be at Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora, Pa.
