Ernest L. Claypoole
Ernest L. Claypoole, formerly of Worthington, passed away peacefully Tuesday,
November 10, 2009 at his home in Raleigh, NC surrounded by his family. He was
born July 27, 1921 in Worthington to his parents the late Arthur C. and Olive
(Edwards) Claypoole. Ernest served in the Navy during World War II. He
graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Agricultural Economics.
Ernest worked at IBM as a payroll manager and retired in 1985. He was a member
of Trinity Baptist Church. Ernest loved to fish and hunt, but especially
enjoyed the many travels with his wife, Betty. He was a fine husband, father,
grandfather and friend. He will be missed greatly. Lovingly remembered by his
wife of 63 years, Betty; sons James Claypoole and his wife, Rita and Jack
Claypoole and his wife, Christy; grandchildren, Andy, Meagan, Eric and Josh;
brother Stewart Claypoole and sister, Jean Elgin. |
