Lee Finley Wilson

Lee Finley Wilson, 94, of Worthington, passed away early Friday morning, April
26, 2013, at Fair Winds Manor, in Winfield Township, where he had been living
since October 2012. 

Born June 20, 1918, in Slate Lick, he was a son of the late Della (Srader) and
C. Merle Wilson.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. 

A lifelong farmer, Lee owned and operated his own dairy farm. 

Lee was a lifelong member of Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church, where he was
an elder and trustee and also a member of the Friendly Class. 

He was a member of the South Buffalo Grange No. 1908, Armstrong County Pomona
Grange, Pennsylvania State Grange and the National Grange. Lee was on the board
of directors of the First National Bank of Freeport, and a member of the
Pennsylvania Farmer's Association and other related farm associations. 

Lee enjoyed dancing, especially polka and square dancing, hunting, traveling,
and going on cruises. 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Hazel F. (Brown) Wilson. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Wilson,
and his sister, Carolyn Wilson. 

Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April
28, 2013, at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport. Public
visitation will continue from 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, until services at
11:30 a.m. in Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church, 106 Brown Road, Freeport,
PA 16229, with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. 

Burial will be in Slate Lick Cemetery, Kittanning, Pa. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Slate Lick United
Presbyterian Church or to Slate Lick Cemetery, P.O. Box 534, Worthington, PA
16262.
