Samuel Charles Lewis

Samuel Charles Lewis, 82, of 3400 Cypress Point Circle, St. Cloud, Fla.,
formerly of 326 Vernon Road, Lot 46, Greenville, (West Salem Township) Pa., died
Wednesday morning, November 19, 1997, at Orlando Southern Regional Hospital, St.
Cloud, Fla.

He was born February 25, 1915, in Worthington (Armstrong County), Pa. to Perry
Newton and Clara J. (Gaiser) Lewis. He married Esther Rossman on January 23,
1937. She passed away October 28, 1997.

He graduated with the (Class of 1934) from Worthington-West Franklin High
School, Worthington, Pa.

He was a veteran, having served as a mechanic in the U.S. Navy during World War
II. A member of Corporal James O. Jordan Post 3374 of Greenville; the Greenville
American Legion Post 140 and a former member of Maysville Community Church of
Greenville, where he served as Sunday school superintendent for nine years.

He retired in 1980 after working as a repairman at Sumner's Office Equipment.

Survivors include one daughter; Mrs. David T. (Carol A.) Hall of St. Cloud,
Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Clair R. (Vera Catherine) Kinter of Meadville, Pa.; two
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther (Rossman) Lewis and his parents;
two brothers Carl Leroy Lewis on December 25, 1989 and John Newton Lewis on
December 23, 1988; one sister, Irene Elizabeth Stewart on January 5, 2000.

of 326 Vernon Road, Greenville, Pa. died November 19, 1997, at Orlando Southern
Regional Hospital, St. Cloud. The date and time of memorial services will be

Pa.
