Carl William Grafton

Carl "Mike" William Grafton, 79, of RD 4, Kittanning, Pa., died Sunday, November
6, 1994, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, Pa.

He was born December 6, 1914 in West Franklin Township to Jud W. and Mabel
(Bruner) Grafton.

He was a 1934 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Mr. Grafton was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was retired from Gerner Trucking in Cabot, Pa.

He was a member and past deacon of the Union Baptist Church on Cadogan/Slate
Lick Rd. in North Buffalo Township, a member of the Gideons, and a member of the
NRA.

He was involved with the Civil Service in the 1950's and 1960's.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Reesman) Grafton whom he married in
January 1939; two sons, William Grafton of Ford City and Russell Grafton of
Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. James (Elaine) Reesman of Mansfield, Ohio; 11
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carrie Belle Roudybush of
Slate Lick, Pa. and Dorothy Fleming of West Kittanning, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Grace (Harbison) Grafton; a
daughter Sally Ann Grafton; a grandson David; a brother, Dale Grafton; and a
sister Hazel Heckman.

Friends of Carl "Mike" William Grafton, 79, of RD 4, Kittanning, Pa. who died
Nov. 6, 1994 will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday at the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, Pa., where
services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. Howard J.
Cole officiating.

Burial will take place in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
