Henry Harrison Foringer

Henry Harrison Foringer, 80, of Boyers, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 5,
1996, at his home.

Born November 4, 1915, in West Monterey, Armstrong County, he was the son of
Samuel Henry and Nellie (Bell) Foringer.

He was a member of the first graduating class of Worthington High School.

He retired from USX and the Department of Environmental Resources.

During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps.

He was a member of Boyers United Methodist Church. He also belong to the Grove
City Masonic Lodge, New Castle Consistory, Boyers Sportsman's Club and the board
of Society of Explosive Engineers.

He was a avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, Mary L. (McElfresh) Foringer, whom he married may 14,
1942; a daughter, Mrs. Jay (Nancy) Straub of Meadville; a son, William H.
Foringer of Butler; a sister, Mrs. Geraldine Williams of Florence, S.C.; three
brothers, Clarence "Fox" and Robert Foringer, both of Worthington, and Donald
Foringer of Freeport; and four grandchildren.

Friends of Henry H. Foringer, who died Saturday, Oct. 5, 1996, will be received
at Young Funeral Home, West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from
noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home with the ""Rev. Kathy Soltis, pastor of Boyers United Methodist
Church, officiating. 

Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
