Florence Emma Adams Staron
Florence Emma (Adams) Staron, 51, of McKees Rocks, Pa. former resident of
Worthington, Pa. passed away at 10 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 1966 in St. Francis
Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. Her death occurred ten days after she underwent open
heart surgery.
She was born December 29, 1914 in Worthington, Pa. to the late Alva Alonzo and
Clara Stella (Bowser) Adams.
She graduated with the first graduating class of 1933, from Worthington-West
Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
She worked many years as an administrative secretary at St. Francis Hospital in
Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was married May 12, 1962 to John J. Staron of McKees Rocks and was a member
of St. John's Methodious Church, McKees Rocks.
She is survived by her husband, John J. Staron of McKees Rocks, a brother, Carl
Noble "Dutch" (Mabel E.) Adams of Worthington, Pa.; two sisters, Blanche Marie
(Stanley) Kostielney of Detroit, Mich., and Mildred Rose Wright of Craigsville,
Pa.; three nieces and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Albert A. Adams who
passed away from tuberculosis, and Frank H. Adams and George Adams who were
young children when they passed away from drowning in the Buffalo Creek.
Friends of Mrs. Florence (Adams) Staron, 51 of McKees Rocks, formerly of
Worthinton, who died Saturday (March 19, 1966) will be received at Szal Funeral
Home, 236 Helen St., McKees Rocks. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday
(March 23) from St. John's Methodious Church, McKees Rocks.
Interment in Saint Marks Cemetery, McKees Rocks, Pa.
